Where is NM Custom Drums Located?

• We are located in the heritage town of Perth Ontario – 60 minutes west of Ottawa. Visiting the shop is by appointment only. If you wish to come down, we encourage you to call us first, and we can give you directions.

How long does it take to build a drum kit or set of Midsection Drums?

• NM Custom Drums aims for a turnaround time of 6 to 7 weeks from the time of ordering to ready for delivery or pickup. Options pending, when ordering we encourage you to ask as some custom features take more time etc.  Check out our payment options in the Ordering Section

What are the standard thicknesses of your shells?

• The standard NM Custom Drum Set uses 6-ply tom shells, 8-ply bass drums, and 10-ply snare drums. However, tom and bass shells can be ordered in thicknesses of 5, 6, 8, 10 thicknesses. We also offer snare shells thicknesses ranging from 20-ply to 50-ply shells. Ask us for more details!
• Our Midsection Drums use first quality VSS 6-ply Maple Shells, with reinforcement rings installed. Like our drum sets, these shells can be custom ordered in thicknesses of 5, 8 & 10-ply.

Do you sell Drum Cases?

• We are pleased to provide you with the options of Drum Cases with your order to protect your investment as soon as they leave our location. Cases must be decided upon when order is originally placed as stock is pending and takes time to deliver if needed.  The two brands we recommend are: Protection Racket Professional Soft Cases, and XL Specialty Percussion Cases. Do you sell other Drum Equipment?

• We are a full service parts and equipment supplier. We represent many major manufacturers and can obtain just about any drum supply you might desire. We regularly supply bands with complete sets of heads, mallets, sticks or harnesses. We also have cymbals, stands, pedals and other equipment that a street or set drummer would need available. Contact us and ask us for a price quote on what you are looking for.

How can I obtain a price quote for my personal interest or my organization?

• We encourage you to first take a look at our Price Lists to gain an idea of what your potential costs are going to be involved in the order.  Make sure you take everything into account and write your thoughts down. If you can’t find the information your looking for, please drop us an email, or call us. We ask that you have all information in mind that you wish to get before calling so we can give you an accurate quote.

What is your return Policy?

• Because everything is made exactly to the customer’s specifications, there is a NO RETURN policy at NM Custom Drums. We manufacture our drums specifically to the customer’s order and don’t accept returns.

Do you have a Warranty?

• NM Custom Drums does not warranty any drum wrap from shrinkage, stretching, chipping, tearing, scratches, warping, bubbling or any other defects. All drums should be stored with care. Exposure to extreme heat, cold or intense prolonged sunlight (particularly when left to sit in a car) can cause serious issues with the heads, finish and the shell. The sun also causes wraps and finishes to fade. Pearl wraps in particular will shrink and rapidly fade over time. NM Customs Drums will work with our customers to correct any problems that develop in the course of your drum’s life. We select only premium grade drum shells. We use only the highest quality adhesives and apply each wrap and finish with careful attention to detail.

Once my order is placed … is it possible to change?

• The minute your order has been placed, the building process, manufacturing, and ordering of all custom parts begins. Therefore you are rarely able to change your order once placed! So make sure you know what you want before you accept the inquiry!
