Shells

1. Our standard configurations are 6ply toms, 8ply bass drums, and 10 ply snare drums
2. All shells are VSS (Vibrating Sound Source) and are chosen because they have more internal vibrations which creates more resonance, and response from the drum head.
3. Upgrades can also be made to VSS Birch & Acrylic 1/4″ Shells, Carbon Fiber Drum Shells- See Price List for details
4. These drums can be upgraded in ply numbers in configurations of 6, 8, or 10 plys

Bearing Edges

Our standard bearing edge on all NM Custom Drums are double 45′s -although other custom edges can be cut such as single 45′s, and round overs. Once cut, all edges are trued evenly and hand finished to allow for perfect contact between the edge and the head. On all wooden hoops, a round over will be cut on the top edge to ensure a perfect claw fit, and a smooth finish. The inside of each wooden hoop will be cut with a slight 45 degree angle to provide a snug fit to the drum head, and prevent any gaps between the hoops and heads.

Reinforcement Rings

Re-rings can be applied to all drum sets as an upgrade, and are a 6ply standard thickness. Reinforcement rings are known for their support and also for raising the fundamental pitch of the drum and ‘fatten’ the attack of the drum in the end

Lugs

Our standard lugs can be seen in our Lug selection section, and can be upgraded to suit your custom needs whether it be a stock chrome, black, or brass, a vintage or modern look- big or small.

No longer do bass claws belong only on your bass drum! Whether it’s a vintage looking kit, or a modern kit, we have many different bass claw styles available for you to put on any drum you choose too!

Mounts

All drum set tom/ floor tom prices include Iso- mounts in Chrome. We do also offer RIMS® Gauger tom mounts as an upgrade for another popular mounting system. Floor tom cradles are also available, and can be upgraded to the RIMS® Dynamount cradle. See price list for more information.

Powder Coating

Wish for something different other than our stock hardware colors? Add the unique touch to your drums by allowing us to powdercoat all requested metal parts on your personal kit. See the Drum Set Price List for more upgrade details.

Have an idea? Bet we can do it!!!! With modern technology, we can do virtually ANY finish option that you request.  Our finish options include Solids, Pearls, Ripples, Metals, Sparkles, Glitters, Onyx, Psychedelics, 3D’s, hand rubbed satins, hi-gloss lacquer, custom graphics, stripes- you name it!

Hoops

All toms and snare drums will come stock with standard chrome 2.33 triple- flanged hoops. Bass drums will come stock with 12 ply hoops finished to your needs. Hoop upgrades are available as seen below. See Drum Set Price list for Upgrade costs.

Other custom options available are:

	2.33 Triple Flanged Hoops: Quality metal hoops, similar to the standard model found on commercial sets. These hoops are popular on toms and snare drums. Available in sizes up to 18″
	Die-Cast Hoops: The flangeless design and heavier make of these hoops give a beefier appearance to your drums, and provide provide more attack and minimize overtones produced by the drum. Available in sizes up to 18″
	Single Flanged Vintage: These hoops are a single flange hoop held on by metal hooks. Similar to the wooden Liberty hoops concept. They are light in weight, and give an open, fat, vintage tone and appearance. Available in sizes up to 18″.
	Revolution Series: Featuring the hide-a-hoop option, these beautiful hoops hide the metal flange of the drum head, and use claws for tensioning the drum. **Not recommended for heavy rim players**
	Liberty Classics: These hoops leave the metal flange of the head exposed adding that vintage look to your drums. They have been cut for maximum seating contact between head and hoop to prevent pinching. **Not recommended for heavy rim players**
	Modern Vintage: These durable, beefy and eye-catching hoops increase the attack and resonance your drums. Both rim knocks and rim shots sound beautiful on these hoops! They also provide the hide-a-head feature and hide the flange of the drumhead creating an overall low profile look. CLICK HERE for a sample
	Evolution Hoops: Using custom machined hoop lugs, we create a Modern Vintage hoop concept by using Revolution or Liberty hoops with center mounted hoop lugs. Replacing the standard claws with these lugs minimizes weight, but provides a great sound, and a unique look! CLICK HERE for a sample
	Supreme Custom hoops: can also be customized through inlays, wrapping the outter edge or hand rubbed finishes. The options are almost unlimited! Check out the upgrades on the price list for custom prices. CLICK HERE for a sample

Heads

The final touch to your set is your personal choice of drum heads. Have a preference? Let us know! Both Batter and Reso hoops can be chosen. NMCD is proud to use Evans as our standard heads, yet can offer the option of Remo and Aquarian.  This is also an upgrade. See Price List for details

HOLZ:  are also available in 2, 4, & 6″ sizes in Black, Red, Blue, Green, Purple, White, Brass, and Chrome. They can be arranged on the reson head as requested.

Bass Head Art: Our drums come stock with our standard Oval logo, and can upgraded to our NM customs shield logos upon request. Other custom head art is available. Email us for a quote!

Custom Drum Badges:

Custom badges can be added as the final personalized touch. Get your name, band, or nickname engraved in your custom badges on your drums. Check out price list for details.
